What is codebar?

codebar.io is an international non-profit initiative that facilitates the growth of a diverse tech community by running FREE coding workshops in a safe and collaborative environment to help each participant expand their career opportunities.

Who can Join?

* Students: People from underrepresented groups in tech who are interested in learning to code

* Coaches: People experienced with coding who want to coach others

About the Workshop

The Workshop has a duration of two hours. During those two hours, students are paired with volunteer coaches to either learn new skills or ask questions about projects they are already developing. Our goal is to pair everyone one to one or two to one.

At codebar we encourage new students to work on our HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Java or Git tutorials, also help them understand the fundamentals of programming.
